Most people will know Pinterest as one of the growing number of social media sites that have popped up over recent years. Pinterest allows users to share photos and images, everything from recipes to holiday photos, how to guides and infographics and anything else you can think of are shared.

According to Wikipedia:

Pinterest is a pinboard-style photo-sharing website that allows users to create and manage theme-based image collections such as events, interests, and hobbies.

Pinterest recently announced[1] they are starting to open up an API to the public. They have started with a handful of big companies, and accepting requests for new partners.
